H L Ananda Piyankara is a budding entrepreneur from Sri Lanka. He started his first business at the age of 10. He launched several business ventures ranging from commodities trading, the trading of rubber shipments to Malaysia and other ports, high value-added sales of cinnamon and tea in the US and Europe.
In recognition of these ambitious accomplishments for his age, he received Growing UP CEO award at Harvard Business School, and competed in the Global Student Entrepreneurship Finals 2012 organized by Entrepreneurs Organization at the New York Stock Exchange. He also took part in entrepreneurship summits at Stanford University, the One Young World forum in the UK, and the Tällberg Forum in Sweden.

After 80 years of family involvement in Ceylon cinnamon and tea, H L Ananda Piyankara started Tea Connoisseurs Delight to create consumer products and sell in the western market. The business was started to help pay for his brother’s and his international tuition fees. Currently, the company has five products successfully selling internationally. Recently, a new business partner from the US joined the company with an investment to build a tea factory in Sri Lanka and expand the business operation to Myanmar.
Ant Commodity is a marketplace through which producers can sell commodities directly to buyers located anywhere.
